As a full-service litigation support and document management company, AmDoc provides a continuum of services from remote document capture to courtroom presentation assistance. In addition to the services
previously described AmDoc can provide the following as needed.
| Remote
Document Collection |
AmDoc has the ability
to physically capture documents on-site at either clients
or opposition locations around the world. Specific procedures
have been developed to ensure complete and orderly collection
of pertinent documents in varied locations. Original documents
can be collected, boxed and shipped to a production facility
for processing or photocopied, with the originals replaced
on-site and the copies shipped to AmDoc. |
| On-Site
Scanning |
Another option is to
scan original documents at their current location with
the scanned images transferred to AmDoc for coding. AmDoc
has extensive experience conducting on-site scanning projects
lasting from several days to over one year. |
| Paralegal
Assistance |
Frequently cases require
more paralegal resources than outside or corporate counsel
has available. AmDoc has a staff of credentialed paralegals
available on an hourly or project basis to assist its
litigation support clients when additional paralegal support
is required. Many of AmDoc's project managers are paralegals. |
| War
Room Hosting |
AmDoc maintains war
rooms in Indianapolis, Indiana and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for client's use as needed.
Fully furnished and professionally equipped space is available
for pre-trial preparation and trial support purposes on
either a daily or weekly rate. |
| Repository
Management |
Corporate clients and
law firms frequently contract with AmDoc to manage their
central file rooms or corporate archives. AmDoc installs
its own sophisticated repository management software (Citadel)
as the backbone, which greatly improves the security and
access to vital records. |
| Document
Redacting |
Litigation documents
produced frequently require redacting of privileged or
confidential information. AmDoc can physically redact
appropriate contents from the paper documents or in some
cases, electronically redact the documents online. The
exact methodology depends on the retrieval system selected
and the client's preference. |
| Witness
Book Preparation |
AmDoc has the capability
to organize and print witness books from scanned images
quickly and economically. |
| Technical
Support |
AmDoc's Information
Services Department is on-call to AmDoc's clients for
project specific technical support. In addition, AmDoc
can supply more extensive technical support to clients
as needed. |
| Full-Text
Conversion (OCR) |
A portion of documents
pertinent to litigation support production may require
conversion to a full-text format. Following imaging of
the documents indicated, AmDoc utilizes high-speed optical
character recognition technology to convert images to
text. The quality and condition of the original document
greatly impacts the quality of the OCR process. If needed,
the text can be "cleaned-up" to restore the
original appearance of the document. |
| Electronic
(Virtual) Repository |
AmDoc frequently hosts
documents in electronic or virtual repositories. Hosted
repositories save clients substantial IT and financial
resources by transferring the infrastructure investments
to AmDoc. A hosted environment also facilitates 24/7 access
to documents from anywhere in the world at any time. |
| Production
Photocopying |
High-speed photocopying
(on-site or off-site) provides clients with a practical
turnkey solution for reproduction of discovery documents.
Production photocopying services are available from AmDoc
on-site where volume or access to documents require it
as well as at AmDoc capture facilities. |
