ELECTRONIC DISCOVERY. Electronic discovery originated primarily from law firms and litigation support companies. It reflects the preservation, capture, processing and review of electronic information. It reflects the real need for time-saving document review and is used to gather all electronic documents into one easy-to-use, searchable retrieval system. Nowadays, many cases benefit from a streamlined combination of both computer forensics and electronic discovery into one FED (Forensics and Electronic Discovery) solution, a term coined by AmDoc.
COMPUTER FORENSICS. Computer forensics developed from the need by law enforcement to access computer files for criminal cases. It is typically used for criminal cases, encrypted files, and backup or archived files. When your case demands the who, what, when, where, and how of computer-related conduct, AmDoc will provide the solutions to your document recovery challenges. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, we offer next-generation, web-based solutions for accelerated native file capture, culling, processing, review, and production.
ON-LINE COLLABORATION (Hosted Retrieval) Organizations that desire the power and convenience of "anywhere, anytime" document retrieval—but who don't have the personnel, equipment, or time to implement this technology—turn to AmDoc's team of professionals. Clients only need a simple web browser to log into a secure website with user-specific security information. From here, the client has access to his or her data, images, archived email, drawings, full-text, PDF files—everything needed for a specific project, corporate archive, customer service applications, HR records, etc. Editing, such as attorney review notes or user comments, can be added at any time, and reports can be created by users on the fly. We do all the work, you just access your documents! From any location, at any time of day.
LITIGATION SUPPORT. AmDoc provides full-service litigation support to attorneys, paralegals, corporate general counsel offices, and end users involved in litigation or legal disputes of any nature. Clients receive customized service while taking advantage of mass-utilization capabilities and pricing. Dedicated project management, technical support, and infrastructure are geared toward meeting the client's specific needs. These services are provided primarily on a long-term, contract basis. Occasionally, project-based cases are processed for specific clients.
DOCUMENT IMAGING. AmDoc is a leader in document imaging: the conversion of paper documents to electronic images for use in an imaging retrieval system. American Document Management was founded in 1990 primarily as an imaging service, and this original focus—scanning and indexing documents for high-powered retrieval—still drives business with many clients today.
FORMS PROCESSING. Repetitive forms, such as employment applications, insurance reports, regulatory forms, credit card applications, can be automated. Instead of tedious data entry, automated conversion of the data on such forms improves both the accuracy and the speed in which the data is collected.
OTHER LEGAL SERVICES. include paralegal assistance, witness book preparation, remote document collection, repository management, document redaction, full-text conversion (OCR), production photocopying and war room hosting.
CONSULTING AND TRAINING. For software and products AmDoc represents, on-line and in-person training sessions are available. Limited consulting engagements assist in document management automation projects.
