Unger Passes Rigorous Series of Exams to Earn CCE

/Go Riverwalk/Fort Lauderdale, FL/ August 2007- Karen Unger, president and CEO of American Document Management, has been awarded the rare Certified Computer Examiner (CCE) designation, on of fewer than 800 such designees worldwide. As a result, she has been inducted into the International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners (SFCE). The goal of certification is to professionalize and further the science of computer forensics as well as set high forensic and ethical standards for forensic computer examiners. The ISFCE also encourages research and development into new and emerging technologies and methods in the science of computer forensics.

Unger’s certification comes on the heels of the Fort Lauderdale document management company’s newly created forensics laboratory. The lab features The Forensic Recovery of Evidence Device (Diminutive Interrogation Equipment), or FREDDIE device – a portable computer forensics equipment central to the field of “digital intelligence.” Using “FREDDIE,” deleted or altered files, and the metadata behind them, can be revealed and resaved as part of ongoing investigations or data recovery efforts.

American Document Management provides high quality document management services to clients in the legal, health care and commercial markets through paper-to-electronic media conversion, computer forensics, electronic discovery, litigation support, scanning and indexing, forms processing, hosted retrieval and box storage.
