Ronald Perkins has served as Chairman of American Document Management since the company’s founding in 1990. Ron is responsible for corporate finance and investor relations.
Prior to joining AmDoc, Ron was president and chief executive officer of Health Advantage, Inc. He founded the company in 1987, built it into a multi-million dollar provider of specialty healthcare services and sold it to a NYSE-listed company. Following the sale, Ron served as president of the subsidiary and an officer of the parent corporation. As an executive committee member, Ron helped guide the company through several acquisitions and new business startups.
Ron has over thirty years of management and marketing experience in the healthcare and business services industries. His experience includes managing operations and marketing strategies for organizations with over 2000 employees and budgets in excess of $250 million. In these positions, he was also responsible for risk management serving as liaison to internal and external counsel.
Ron graduated from Marcy State Hospital School of Nursing (affiliated with Utica College of Syracuse University) in 1972 as a Registered Professional Nurse. He is a graduate of Leadership Broward Class XXII and Senior Executive of the Orientaion Program. Ron is Treasurer of Ecclesia Christi in Fort Lauderdale and was ordained a Deacon in 2006.
Ron serves on the board of the Seafarers’ House in Port Everglades, and has previously served on the board of The Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, and the Rio Vista Civic Association. He is also a member of the Downtown Council Steering Committee and the Nova Southeastern University H. Wayne Hiuzenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship’s Executive Education Advisory Board. Ron served two years as a mayoral appointment on the Parks, Recreation and Beaches Advisory Board for the City of Fort Lauderdale.
Ron enjoys boating, reading and political activities. He has served as an advisor and fund raiser for multiple local, state, and national campaigns. Ron hosted a weekly live talk show on a Delaware radio station for three years.
